Anti –ageing • First it was fairness creams; now it’s anti-ageing products that make Indian

men hang around their wives’ dressing table.

Anti-ageing skincare products such as Pond’s Age Miracle, Olay Total Effects and Nivea Visage Q10 — all endorsed by and marketed for women — are increasingly being bought by men.

In fact, 20% men in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore from SEC-A and B households use anti-ageing products, according to Nielsen data for May 2009 to April 2010.

• Nivea India is in the process of rolling out a premium anti-ageing men’s product.

• Pond’s Age Miracle, which targets 30-plus women and is positioned as a product that takes care of age spots in ‘just seven days’, is being used by 13% men across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, according to Nielsen data.
