CLASS 1:

This was the first class for BS-VII. We were given an introduction to

the syllabus. We discuss about the Definition of personality. Thus we

came to know that, Personality is basically the sum of who we are,

taking our traits, character, behavior and lives, among other things,

into account.

We also learn about the Relevance and importance of personality and

what makes an individual different from others in terms of

personality.

ACTIVITIES:

In this class we were asked to rate ourselves on the scale of 1-10 (1

being the lowest and 10 the highest) on the points given to us.

We were also asked to introduce ourselves and tell the class about our

strengths and weaknesses.

LEARNINGS:

The key learning from the activities mentioned above is:

I came to know what I value most in terms of the rating scale.Thus for me it is understanding uniqueness of every individual

which comes first and then importance of values & ethics.

From second activity I realized my actual strengths andweaknesses and came to know more about my peers and

classmates.

CLASS 2:

In this class we discuss about how to accept ones personality traits.

And how to manage individual differences of personality.

Thus we can accept ones differences by being willing to adjust to

them in the most constructive way. Or by being aware that individual

differences exist. Or by accepting and respecting these individual

differences.

Different people have given different kinds of personality traits. Like

Allport identified some 4,500 traits, Eysenck gave 3 distinct traits in

personality: extraversion/introversion, neuroticism, psychotocism

ACTIVITIES:

We were shown few pictures: and have to analyze

what they depict:

This can be predicted as if the man is angry on something and

walking away but the girl want him to listen her thats why she is

trying to stop him from walking away.

This can be said that the man lied in

hospital due to some disease and the lady crying on it or she is upset.

This shows dual personality. The lady in the pictureis two faced ie. She is polite, soft and decent in 1 face and cruel,

jealous in other face.

This picture shows that the boy is left

alone at home. This also shows the darkness in his life he is sad about

it.

Second activity done was the discussion on the significance of

nurture & nature in your personality development.

LEARNINGS:

From activity 1 I came to know that we can judge different situations

or people by just seeing their activities.

Activity 2 I commented that nature places and important role in

developing our personality, some people do change according to the

external environment as they are being in constant touch with it.

Where as nurture is how we are bought up i.e. the genes effect, they

are also influenced by peers as they are necessary for lifelong

survival.

CLASS 3

In the 3rd

class we were taught about 2 models of personality traits.

1-MBTI: by Myers and Briggs. They gave the concept ofextraversion and introversion; sensing and intuition; thinkingand feeling; judgment and perception.

2-Big-five model: it contains following traits: extraversion,agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, emotional stability.

We also studied Freuds psychodynamic theory which talks

about id, ego, and superego.

ACTIVITY:

We did the big five model and MBTI test in this class as part of

activity

LEARNINGS:

MBTI: the analysis of this test shows that I lie in the group of ISFP ie.

I am observant, loyal, helper, reflective, realistic, empathic, patient,

gentle stuns disagreements and enjoy the moments.

Big five model: it gave a result of:

Surgency : 28 points

Agreeableness: 28 points Adjustments: 25 points Conscientiousness: 28 points Openness: 28 points

Thus all these points shows that I enjoy leadership, I am hard

working, try to ignore messed up situations, i work according to the

rules given. And I dont easily adjust in new and difficult situations.
