This is the Third year BNB Art & Heritage Festival. Following the

success of the last two years the purpose remains the same - to promote

our communities as thriving, artistic & cultural communities. This we hope

will be achieved by you participating in some of the wide range of events &

activities. By working with groups & organisations operating in our local

area we can collectively grow the participation in these groups which can

benefit the inclusion of people of all abilities. Activities will be available to

everyone irrespective of age, ability or religion. The overall objective is to

bring more people into the Town & make them aware of the amazing

things which our community has to offer. To achieve this regeneration,

partnership working between individuals, organisations, local & borough

councils & many active groups has been essential to reduce the real and

perceived fear of a decline in the town & ‘our’ community. The festival

showcases some of the unique locations in the area, highlights the history,

culture & local facilities together with its outstanding natural beauty. It

includes guided heritage walks, musical activities, workshops, art exhibi-

tions & much more for all ages. There will be a family fun themed opening

event with a week of events & activities to suit everyone. A big thank you

to all those who have contributed to the funding, planning of activities,

events & celebrations for 2016.

Thank you for supporting the previous festivals, we really hope you enjoy

this year’s event.

We collaborate with other organisations and voluntary groups so that together we can continue being proud of this amazing community, if you have any ideas for other events we could work on, let us know . Brynmawr Business Forum meets on the last Monday of each month at 5.45 pm in either the Lounge Coffee Shop or the Talisman . Business Owners or managers in Brynmawr and its immediate vicinity are welcome to attend as without the motivation, ideas and help, the events like this festival would not happen, but importantly we are there to support the community and businesses alike. Page 22: Brynmawr Arts & Heritage Festival A5 Programme (Final) - 2016
