• Novel Integrated Water Management Systems for Southern Europe• 7FP - Capacities (RoK)• 19 Partners – 5 countries (Albania, Cyprus, France, Portugal, Spain)
-Triple helix (Administrations, researchers and business)
• Project Goals:• Identify and analyze common IWRM challenges by multilevel and interregional co-operation between research-driven clusters (SWOT)• Foster a dialogue process in order to define a Joint Action Plan (JAP)•Identify and propose some priority research and development areas• Exploit joint capacities narrowing the gap within the triple helix• Expand the partnership outside the involved regions

Science and Technology- Evolution in the use of Decission Support Systems (DSS).- Low data availability.- Absence of formal channels for the knowledge and data exchange between the triple helix.
Governance and Management - Novelty of the IWRM legislation and administrative organization. - Impediment for DSS use: Lack of economical, technical and scientific means in the administration.
Environmental and socio-economic context- Periodic problems of imbalance between water supply and demand.- Structures of water management and public participation are dense but evolving. - Still missing: real links between researchers, managers and water user representatives.
