Beta Technical Support Engineer / Program Manager
As a Program Manager, I am responsible for all phases of
Betaprogram management. These phases include the submission of
abeta program test plan, site recruitment plan, product
deployment,
data collection, and final report for product
go/no-gorecommendation to the product team. Provide technical
support for Beta products. This involves being a technical liaison
betweeninternal product teams and customer sites performing
producttesting. Most noted new products I've been directly involved
withinclude NSG's Opteron-based servers along with the and the
SunFire line of Enterprise Servers, including the most recent
Panther 1.8GHz uniboards. As a Program Manager, I am responsible
for allphases of Beta program management. These phases include
thesubmission of a test plan, site recruitment plan,
productdeployment, data collection, and final report for product
go/no-go
recommendation to the product team. Beta travel included four
weeks in Taiwan.
1998 to2000
SSE: I installed and provided software support for Sun's
high-endservers which include installation, configuration and
problemresolution of E10000s, Enterprise series servers, Sun
Clusters andstorage product lines, as well as the newly released
T3s. I'veinstalled, configured multiple E10000 installations and
have acted
as lead installer on E10000s at SDSU and SPAWAR. After twomonths
escalation of Solar Turbines E10000, I was assigned to theaccount
and assisted in resolving customer issues. I provided newequipment
configuration review and assistance to Sales. I was alsoa
software/hardware support resource for Sun Field SupportEngineers
and Sun partners. I hold Sun Solaris Administration andStorTools
certification.
