The Brown Line Extension project could connect the line’s existing terminus at Kimball with the CTA Blue Line at Jefferson Park. This would provide dramatically improved access from the North Side to O’Hare, as well as better connections to Metra’s Union Pacific-Northwest Line and Pace’s forthcoming Arterial Rapid Transit (ART) bus line along Milwaukee Avenue. “Connecting the spokes” enhances the usability of existing transit lines.

Jobs Accessible by Transit (30 minutes)
What is Transit Future?
Transit Future is a campaign to raise new funding for transit in Cook County. Launched in 2014, the campaign aims to establish a dedicated revenue source that could support up to $20 billion in transit expansion projects. This would transform Chicago’s hub-and-spoke rail network into a system that serves the needs of 21st-century commuters.
