Institution ProfileSri Ramakrishna Engineering College was established in the year 1994 by SNR Sons Charitable Trust, which runs 16 other reputed educational and medical institutions in the city. The trust is currently spearheaded, the Managing Trustee Thiru. C. Soundararaj and Joint Managing Trustee Sri. R. Vijayakumhar. The college is empowered by Dr. Ebenezer Jeyakumar, Director (Academics), Dr. R. Radhakrishnan, Principal. This institution is the first self-financing autonomous institution in the south zone to get autonomous status granted by the University Grants Commission in 2007. The college offers 9 UG, 8 PG along with 3 Ph.D programmes. The college has entered into Memorandum of Understanding with leading universities in USA for student and staff exchange programmes. MOUs with leading corporates have also been signed to train students for the industry scenario.

Department ProfileThe M.E Manufacturing Engineering Programme was started in the year 2005. The department has adequate infrastructure with well established laboratories and research centers. The core members of the faculty have rich academic experience and research exposure. The latest advancements in the fields of technology and current affairs have been brought in to implant in-depth knowledge and to cater the needs of the core industries.

About the conferenceNational conference on recent trends in Metal joining techniques aims bring together engineers and researchers from both academic, industrial communities under the same crown to share their new ideas experiences and the research outcomes in the various areas of welding it also

address the current trends and challenges in the emerging techniques of metal joining. The conference will encompass invited talks and referred paper presentations by PG scholars and research scholars. The motive of the conference is to provide a forum for researches and scientists working in a wide Varity of areas in metal joining techniques to communicate and share their knowledge.

This conference is intended for researchers in industry and in academia including Ph.D. students with a good knowledge in fluid mechanics, who would like to build up or widen their knowledge in the field of modeling, computational tools and industrial application.
