Also, congratulations to all of our teams that are getting into their wrap-up tournaments for their season! Wednesday saw the last ride for a few months of our mountain bike club, and our soccer teams are off to the Islands Championships. Thank you also goes out to our Stu Crew who hosted the Halloween contest along with the many staff and students that dressed up and showed school spirit. We have another busy week ahead. Our Remembrance Day Assembly happening in our gym beginning at 10:10 am this Friday. While all schools are closed to observe Remembrance Day, I hope each of you take a moment to reflect on many that lost their lives to afford us our freedoms. Their loss was for a brighter and peaceful future that we realize every day.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

First and foremost, a big thank you and congratulations to our VP’s Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Larkin along with their teams of teachers for hosting all of our Grade 8’s for a day of experiential learning and team building at the Outdoor Learning Centre earlier this week. Also, congratulations to all of our teams that are getting into their wrap-up tournaments for their season! Wednesday saw the last ride for a few months of our mountain bike club, and our soccer teams are off to the Islands Championships. Thank you also goes out to our Stu Crew who hosted the Halloween contest along with the many staff and students that dressed up and showed school spirit.

INFORMATION & ANNOUNCEMENTS Numeracy Assessments: Nov 5, 6, 7, Mandatory for Grade 11 and 12 students Students in Grade 11 and 12 are required to write at their scheduled sitting during the sessions happening November 5, 6 and 7. These assessments are intended to be written in Grade 10 and are required as part of the Grad program. Students needing to be rescheduled due to planned absences should see Ms. Kennedy immediately. NEW CLUBS: Tuesday and Thursday at lunch there will be chess club starting up in the counselling suite. Wednesday at lunch there will be reading club in the counselling suite. Bring a book and come hang out! Parent Portal Access: Check before report cards (Nov 15) We encourage everyone to log on and familiarize themselves with the system and reach out if they are having difficulties logging on prior to report card time, which is fast approaching! Grade 12 students – DVR checks underway! Students should have attended the grad program/DVR handout during OC last Wednesday, October 30 and be examining their program, credits, and making an appointment to speak with Mr. Rounis should they have questions.
