Knit Along for a CauseTeens in Grades 6-12Sundays, September 8, 15, 22, 29, 3:00-4:00 p.m.Octopus for a Preemie is a world-wide initiative that seeks to help premature babies through their first days of life. Each crocheted creature lends comfort and security to little ones who need it most. Learn how to make these sweet baby gifts that will be donated to a local hospital. Earn hours for attending the class and five additional hours for completing an octopus. Guardians who also know how to crochet are welcome to stay and help teach teens. Please register.

Our Summer Reading Challengers are ‘Out of this World’!Congratulations are in order! This summer, 242 children signed up to join our club and were challenged to complete up to 21 fun missions.

Reading, attending library classes, visiting new places and making things from how-to books are just some of the tasks we encouraged our astronauts

to complete. In total, 1,530 missions were reported back as completed! That number represents a tremendous amount of learning, development and experience gained by our young patrons that we are truly proud to celebrate!

To each of our astronauts and their supportive caregivers, we want you to know that you are OUT OF THIS WORLD and we had a blast with you over the summer!
