Drowning Prevention

The ILS has identified four factors that may lead to drowning.• Lack of knowledge, disregard or

misunderstanding of the hazard.• Uninformed, unprotected or unrestricted

access to the hazard• Lack of supervision or surveillance• An inability to cope once in difficulty
