Trench BoxesTrench Boxes are used for rapid shoring of trench runs. These, together with Drag Boxes and Manhole Boxes, provide a quick and easy way of holding the ground stable in a trench without the need to use any other shoring equipment.

The Aluminium Trench Shield is perfect for shielding trenches where the excavation is being undertaken with small excavators which do not have the lifting capacity to work with standard, heavier trench box systems.

Both the aluminium trench shields and boxes meet all the safety requirements of the British & European standards.

All major components of the aluminium shoring systems have handling and lifting points for safe slinging.

The System 20 Backhoe Box is designed for use with small excavators with limited lifting capacity.

The Mini Trenchbox is a strong, lightweight unit, making it ideal for use in small excavations.

It is perfect for the installation of sewers and other utility services to depths of up to 3.50m. The Mini Trenchbox can be installed and removed by just one operative in conjunction with the excavator.

KS60 Mini Trenchbox

The Rolling Strut Box is similar to a conventional trenchbox, but with the added advantage of struts which are vertically adjustable on rollers, providing increased clearance of up to 3.2m below the struts.

Variable, easily adjustable strut positions allow longer pipe runs to be installed in the trench by adjusting the strut positions in adjacent boxes and therefore the Rolling Strut Box maximises effective man hours on site.

The Super Trenchbox offers a maximum clearance of 2.53m below the bottom strut, allowing the installation of large diameter pipes.

Dragboxes provide a safe and rapid means of pipe laying. The normal method of operation is for the excavator to drag the box forward by pulling on the front strut.

• Trench widths from 680mm to 3200mm

Powershore is a high load hydraulic waler system for trench support. Struts are supplied assembled to the required size and are connected to the rail by a simple hinge pin.

The single acting variant provides adjustment by means of mechanical and hydraulic extension. The legs are extended hydraulically and retracted manually.

The double acting type extends and retracts using hydraulics and is compatible with the Shaftbrace system.

The Multibrace System has a higher load carrying capacity than Shaftbrace. Standard legs cover excavations from 2.5m to 10.3m sheet to sheet.Bracing struts are available to increase the lengths of the excavation. Multibrace can be used in conjunction with Shaftbrace, Super Shaftbrace and Supershaft Plus waling systems.

The JC40 Mechanical Bracing Strut is designed to be used in conjunction with the Shaftbrace and Multibrace systems.

Sizes range from 0.5m to 3.9m.

This Mechanical Bracing Strut is a lighter duty version of the Standard Mechanical Bracing Strut and can be used in conjunction with our wide range of hydraulic systems.

Trench Sheeting andLight PilingTrench sheets and light piling are used to support the ground at the sides of trenches and excavations. The strength, speed and flexibility of light sheet piling makes it ideal for all forms of temporary and permanent works.

Our range of trench sheets are designed to cover a wide spread of uses in both temporary and permanent works.

All our trench sheeting sections have a top lifting hole. In addition, all sections (apart from the M6 profile) have a secondary lower hole for use with piling hammer/extractor safety chains.

• Overlapping suitable for a wide range of applications from digging and placing of short sheets in shallow excavations, to full driving in deep excavations

• Interlocking suitable for applications from shallow riverbank protection to deep, large area cofferdams

• All sections are well matched for use with our hydraulic support systems

Q-Kap is an award nominated universal trench sheet driving tool.

Fitting directly to the quick hitch on the excavator, whilst also allowing a Quick Release Shackle to be fitted to the dipper arm, Q-Kap eliminates the need for working at height when positioning a traditional drive cap.

Our Excavator Mounted Vibrators are suitable for driving and extracting a range of Mabey sheeting and piling.

The Piling Attachment Services’ dedicated field services team ensure safe and efficient on-site installation of hammers to all common variants of excavator.

Compact, robust and reliable, our hammers can be attached to the excavator either directly to boom or via a range of quick hitch adaptor brackets.

Augers provide the perfect solution when driving into difficult ground conditions.

Augering breaks up the soil, effectively turning cohesive soil into non-cohesive soil, enabling vibratory hammers to be used where impact hammers would otherwise be required.

The Auger is fitted in exactly the same way as the Excavator Mounted Vibrator, utilising the same excavator which reduces transport costs significantly, along with the need for crane equipment.

Extractor Plus is a simple innovation in health and safety and available exclusively from Mabey. It is fitted with a secondary safety device which is independent of the main attachment point. The secondary safety chain ensures that risks associated with incorrect attachment, damage to the wing screw or other failure of the extractor will not result in the trench sheet becoming detached from the extractor.

Quick Release Shackles

Drive Caps

Quick Release Shackles are used for lifting single trench sheets or light piles into position prior to driving.

We have a range of Drive Caps available for all sheets and light piles. They protect the top of a trench sheet during installation.

TuffTrak is a heavy duty road mat ideal for providing temporary roadways for heavy plant, transport and heavily trafficked access ways. Each mat is 3m x 2.5m x 40mm thick. Mats can be connected in either orientation providing maximum flexibility and coverage.

Three stage trigger levels can be added with set value thresholds. Once these thresholds are breached, an email is automatically generated to nominated users. These alert emails are also sent to Mabey engineers, who can also interrogate the data and advise accordingly.
