Dear Madam/Sir, Euronoise 2015, the 10th European Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering, will be held at the heart of Europe where the first treaties leading to the creation of the European Union were signed. Acousticians and noise experts from all over the World will gather in Maastricht around the theme Science and technology for a quiet Europe and discuss recent findings and innovations in noise pollution, noise control, soundscape, and many related topics. Euronoise is one of the main conferences organised by the European Acoustics Association, an association gathering more than 25 national acoustic societies from all over Europe. The Belgian and Dutch acoustical societies, ABAV and NAG, warmly welcome you to Maastricht from May 31 st till June 3 rd for Euronoise 2015. Organizing committee: Dr. ir. Venue The conference venue MECC is located where three countries, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands meet. It is easily accessible by train, plane and car. The city of Maastricht exhibits an international orientation where the heritage of the Burgundy dukes, Austrian and German emperors and French kings is reflected in the open atmosphere and diverse culture. The focus on the future is found in the high tech universities and companies in Maastricht, Aachen and Liege.         Scientific and technical program Euronoise 2015 will offer an outstanding scientific and technical program including 4 distinguished plenary lectures, a large number of structured sessions, pre-congress tutorials, panel discussions, and etcetera. The congress will cover a.o.: - Noise measurement methods and equipments, - Computational acoustics, Noise mapping, Sound propagation, - Health effects of noise, Hearing protection, - Acoustic materials, Noise reducing equipments, Active Noise Control, - Tyre/road noise, Railway noise and vibration, Aircraft and airport noise, - Room acoustics, Sound transmission and insulation in buildings, - Psychoacoustics and Sound quality, Soundscape, - Underwater noise, Standardization, Noise policy and regulations, - Industrial and machinery noise, Wind turbine noise, Fans, ducts and mufflers, - Aeroacoustics, - Auralisation and virtual acoustics and much more. Satellite events - Workshop “European Noise Policy, where do we go?”(supported by European Commission

DG environment) - European soundscape award (European Environmental Agency) - Eurocities noise working group meeting and jointly organized sessions

Registration is done through www.euronoise2015.eu. Rates distinguish between early, late and on-site registration. Early registration before February 15, 2015, late registration until May 15, 2015. For students and members of EAA special rates apply. Social program The modern congress venue MECC offers many possibilities for informal meetings. On Monday evening a complementary reception is offered to the participants; On Tuesday evening there will be an optional congress banquet. The touristic booth at MECC will help participants that so desire to organize pre- and post-congress trips and visits.

Exhibition Euronoise 2015 will host an extended European Acoustics Exhibition where companies, manufacturers, engineering service providers, research units, technical and scientific organizations and publishers will inform about their newest equipment and instrumentation, methods and software solutions, materials, standards, guidelines and publications. More information on how to reserve your booth can be found at the congress website. Young acousticians Euronoise 2015 especially welcomes young acousticians and organizes special social events, tutorial lectures, best paper awards and grants.
