A modern lift ensures accessibility. (Option tower guided tour). The parapet walk, a narrow corridor that circles the temple on the outside, is a reminder of its original defensive character. The next level is the triforium, a gallery around the inside of the temple above the arches, which provides a different view of the nave. Now ready for liturgical use, the nave provides us with a view of the Millennium Dome, a spectacular black limestone construction which has been assembled following the methods of the ancient stonemasons. The visit to the transept, the ambulatory and chapels founded by the noble families of Vitoria is followed by a visit to the Portico of Light (Optional) The cathedral is accessed via its base, from the Calle Cuchillería, where you can see the original Gasteiz moat. As you continue through the crypts, you will discover the areas within the foundations that have been renovated and the structural solutions that have been implemented. The tour allows access for people with reduced mobility.
