Mechanical aesign, as classically taugh

around the application of stress analysis theory. While this theory is-

important, actual industrial design is generally dependent upon

manufactureability, time constraints, and cost con straints as well as

stress analysis.

With this in mind, the Baja SAE India competition was originated.

Since that time, the competition has grown greatly and it has

helped student to achieve great height of knowledge.

Objective For Student

-Each team's goal will be to design and build a prototype of a rugged,

single seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non-

professional, weekend off-road enthusiast.

-The students are assigned the task of designing, building, testing,

promoting and racing an off road vehicle, that will withstand the rigours of

a rough terrain. The underlying purpose of the event is to provide

SAE student with challenges that reflect the steps involved in the entire

process of engineering to production and marketing. ,: P , I
