The Hauppauge Broadway is a small stand-alone device which you can connect to your TV antenna (or a cable or satellite set-top box) and send live TV wirelessly to an Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android phone, tablet or a PC or Mac.

Technically speakingBroadway is a networked TV receiver which has a built-in dual DVB-T tuner, plus a high quality H.264 video compressor and a network adapter (wired and wireless). Broadway uses the built-in H.264 compressor to convert the live TV signal to a compact H.264 format, and then transmits the compressed TV signal to your home router. The router will forward a TV signal to either a Wi-Fi connected device or to the Internet. The built-in Wi-Fi adapter supports 802.11g plus the new high speed 802.11n. Broadway is a standalone “box” which is ready to stream live TV at any time. The setup of Broadway is done through a web browser on any device which is connected to your router. Broadway is also equipped with an Audio/Video input. You can connect any device such as a cable or satellite box or a video camera.
