123 BROADWAYFARGO, ND 58102
DESCRIPTION123 Broadway is located at the heart of downtown Fargo at the corner of Broadway and 2nd Avenue North, two of downtown Fargo’s busiest pedestrian corridors. With a Walk Score® of 96 and Bike Score® of 94, this location is just steps from local eater-ies, art galleries, boutique stores, and coffee shops. 123 Broadway sits adjacent to the future civic plaza of the Block 9 project. The vision is that the portion of 2nd Avenue North between the pla-za and 123 Broadway could be closed off for pedestrians during major plaza events, effectively spilling countless people onto the front door of future businesses in the building. A block west of 123 Broadway on 2nd Avenue North is the site of the new Roberts Garage mixed-use parking project, which will add to the vibrancy of the 2nd Avenue corridor.

HISTORYDakotah Block was built in 1893 on the corner of Second Avenue North and Broadway on the foundation of the Pinkham Block, which was destroyed in the Fargo Fire of earlier that year. Dakotah Block was refaced in 1899 after it was partially destroyed by another fire.
Wasen Guard Furniture Dealers occupied the building at that time. D.I. Ames Furniture Store occupied the building around 1905 according to NDSU archives. Later, Fargo Plumbing and Heating Company occupied the building from 1910-1922, according to historic Sanborn maps.
The building later occupied by two convenient stores. According to Fargo City directories, Osco Drug occupied the space from 1965 to 1978. The latest tenant in the building was Metro Drug, who occupied the building from 1983-2015.
