BCC GLOBAL INSIGHTS - SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 1. The British Chambers of Commerce Global Business Network British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is a leading British business representative organisation that has delivered unparalleled profile and influence for the Chamber of Commerce brand for over 150 years. The British Chambers of Commerce Global Business Network is a key strategic initiative launched by the BCC and comprises of a unique international member network of 57 British chambers of commerce and equivalent business groups located across all continents of the world outside the UK and 53 regional chambers of commerce located across every key business hub in the UK. The BCC is recognised as a truly international organisation with a global footprint, that provides businesses via the British chamber of commerce network with the opportunity to connect to a rapidly growing international ecosystem of known, trusted business connections and support. Our primary strategic objective in creating this important private sector led infrastructure is to ensure continued and growing two-way and potentially multi-way trade and business between the UK and markets across the world. The Global Business Network will provide access to a clear suite of services, expertise, advice, business contacts and potential partners and much needed practical support for any business that is a member of any chamber of commerce in our network. By accessing the “local global” expertise available through the Global Business Network, we will be able to provide practical guidelines and insight to over 80K British/ British interest businesses located in the UK and abroad. Furthermore, we will be able to benefit from widespread publicity for the work we deliver via the UK national, local and international press and media that our Global Business Networks has access to. 2. Commercial Partnership Proposition The BCC is seeking like-minded commercial partners that are interested in being champions for British business internationally and joining us in helping to shape this growing private sector led network of support for business by business. By sponsoring our “Insights” programme our commercial partners will be able to help us to co-create the infrastructure, projects, activities and Thought Leadership work of the Global Business Network. Through our co-branded initiatives, we will be able to together raise awareness of the issues faced by business, the cited barriers that impede business from trading internationally and champion their needs to successfully grow their business. We will be able to provide insight to and solutions for challenges they face, and we will together help them to trade, grow and prosper on the global stage. We have compiled a series of potential themes and modus operandi for partners to consider.

3. Trade and Global Insight Guides The BCC conducts extensive regular quantitative and qualitative tailored research across 1000s of companies that are members of chambers of commerce in its membership network. This provides clear insight into the sentiment, attitudes, behaviour, challenges and needs of business as well as the impact of developing business trends. Our Quarterly International Trade Outlook survey and the annual International Trade Survey are helpful tools that allow us to suggest themes that are current, relevant and preoccupy businesses when considering their international trade strategy. The BCC will be launching in 2020 a series of Trade and Global insight themed guides that provide our commercial partners the opportunity to engage with the Chambers and their member companies in the Global Business Network programme. Content for the guides will be provided through a combination of network member chambers, BCC internally and the commercial partner, particularly around the area of defining the challenges, providing insight and advice and potential solutions for business. The aim of the guides will be to:

• Feature impactful business trends • Highlight barriers to trading internationally • Provide advice and solutions to those barriers • Outline the support available via the chamber network • Showcase the opportunities that should be considered • Outline the support that is available

By doing so, the objectives are to help companies:

• Harness opportunities • Maintain and grow a competitive business environment • Benefit by embracing technology • Lead innovation • Grow our skills and talent base • Increase the UK’s international trade & investment capacity • Influence policy in the UK to ensure an open for business environment • Be able to seek out practical export support
