(2004) 2055 Woodland Dr. Grandview School Artist: Grandview Community Schoolyard Project This structure is a community gathering place for outdoor learn- ing & celebration. The design was inspired by the Musqueam tradi- tional longhouse Mosaic Creek (1996) at Charles St. & McLean Dr. Artists: Glen Anderson, Kristine Germann Mosaic Creek is a large mosaic in the shape of a creek made up of 260 individual mosaics by com- munity members. Over 500 peo- ple participated in the project Vancouver Naturally Ours (1994) in Britannia Oval Artists: Helen Spaxman & Carole Davenport Britannia High School students created this mural for the commu- nity Britannia Banners (1995) in Britannia Site Artist: Sylvia Oates The Banners are an ongoing twice- yearly project in which area resi- dents develop the banners to be hung around the Centre

About the Walk:The Britannia Arts Walking Tour is jointly spon-sored by Britannia Community Services Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the City of Van-couver. This tour is part of the City of Vancouver: “Active Community” - Step Out Walks program.This walking tour will not only provide you with the healthy aspect of a walk, but also the enjoy-ment of taking you through some of the com-munity arts projects in the Grandview Wood-lands area.
