1. Read the first paragraph of Ghandi’s speech (pg. 975) and complete the “Reading Strategy” (located in the green box on that page). Write your response down in your Writer’s Notebook.
2. When you finish, complete your 200word response from yesterday on the person who inspires you..

'Immediate Action'…The call to action is an essential component in the persuasive speech.

• A written preparation outline is required for this speech and should include at least two sources. Your bibliography listing the sources you consulted must be included in proper MLA format.
Sources:• At least two credible sources (beside yourself) must
be mentioned in the speech and referenced properly in outline.
• Remember credibility when using sources (Wikipedia and Google tend to lack as credible sources)
Visual Aid:• At least one visual aid to support your speech.
(either PowerPoint slide, chart, image, prop, etc.)
