Teaching styles

As teachers we have a duty to try to be multi-sensory in our teaching styles but how can we equip ourselves?

First we have to identify what kind of teacher we are.

6 Multi-sensory teaching

Page 7: Bringing the world into the classroom

Then we have to learn new skills and open ourselves up to new teaching styles in order to be more inclusive.

Then we have to transfer our new skills to the classroom.

The most successful lessons happen when the teacher’s teaching style and the student’s learning style match.

The least successful lessons happen when the student and teacher have only one style each and they don’t match.

Dear MariaHere we are in Buenos Aires. It’s snowing and cold. It’s Monday and I’m in a hotel at an ELT conference. I’m giving a talk. I’m sitting next to a tall man with red hair. He’s snoring. Wish you were here! Love Paola
