    I you are travelling rom a country outside the EU,you cannot bring any meat or dairy products into theUK unless you are travelling rom Croatia, the FaroeIslands, Greenland or Iceland, when you are allowed

    a combined weight o up to 10kg per person

    You may bring in a limited quantity o otheranimal products, such as fsh, bivalves, honey andeggs. Please check pages 6 to 8. For urther detailsabout permitted products, contact Dera theirdetails are on the back o this leaet.

    I you have specifc questions about fsh, shellfsh orbivalve products, contact the Food Standards Agency their contact details are on the back o this leaet.

    Dont break the law, check the rules beoreyou travel.

    Ma include any resh, cooked or dried meat such as

    bee, lamb, pork or chicken and such products as patties, curries,

    ham, biltong, pot noodles which contain meat, meatballs, meat

    pickles, cured or cooked sausage, pate and meat paste. Live

    snails, dead snails still in their shells and water snails are also

    not permitted.

    butter, ghee, mithai, cheese and products containing resh cream.

    You are not allowed to bring in any meat or dairyproducts to the UK

    However, i you are travelling rom Croatia, theFaroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland, you areallowed up to 10kg combined weight per person.

    You are allowed up to 20kg combined weight perperson o fsh and fsh products (including deadbivalves) or the weight o one fsh whicheverweight is highest. Fish can be dried, cooked, cured,smoked or resh but resh fsh is only allowed i itis gutted.

    I you are travelling rom the Faroe Islands orIceland, there is no weight restriction per person.

    Caviar o sturgeon species is subject to additional

    weight restrictions and controls see theendangered animals or plants section on page 9.

    The product does not require rerigerationbeore consumptionIt is a product in commercially branded packagingThe packaging is unbroken unless in current use

    You are also allowed up to 2kg o pet ood maderom animal products required or medical reasonssubject to the same conditions above.

    I you are travelling rom Croatia, the Faroe Islands,Greenland and Iceland, you are allowed up to 10kgcombined weight per person o special oods withinthis category.

    It is important that you declare any banned oodproducts that you are bringing in rom outside the EU. Iyou are unsure about any o the ood products you are

    bringing in, speak to a UK Border Agency ofcer in theCustoms Red Channel or on the Red Point telephone.I you declare any banned or restricted ood items to us,we will take these away and destroy them and no urtheraction will be taken. I you are bringing back more than

    you are allowed, we will seize the whole amount.

    Bringing in goods that are banned is illegal, andthere are heavy penalties or smuggling. I youail to declare any items that are not permitted,you could ace severe delays, and prosecution.

    I you are travelling rom a country outside theEU, there are restrictions on bringing ruits,vegetables, seeds and bulbs into the UK. Some

    plants, soil and other plant products (includingpotatoes) maynot be brought to the UK unlessyou have obtained the relevant ofcial certifcateor licence.

    Regardless o where you are travelling rom, youmaynot bring in parts o endangered animal orplants to the UK without the correct permits. Thisincludes caviar (any amount sent by post or above

    125gms in your personal luggage ), skins, hidesand shells and any products made rom them.

    and perume which are restricted i you aretravelling rom certain countries, and some items,such as unlicensed drugs and weapons, which arebanned completely.
