MEETING ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR BUSINESS USE

The library’s Large and Small Meeting Rooms are available for business use for a reasonable fee. The Large Meeting Room has a maximum occupancy of 90 people, while the Small Meeting Room holds up to 20. The Large Meeting Room has an adjacent kitchen if you want to serve refreshments. The library also has audiovisual equipment available, including a sound system, projector, and screen. Please contact Suzette Vano at (631) 692-5719, x103, or [email protected] for details.

Dear Residents,

March and April will be exciting months at the Library, with many enjoyable and educational programs available for all ages. As you browse through our newsletter, I’m sure you’ll find programs of interest to you and your family.

Throughout March, we will be exhibiting the artwork of our talented K-8 students, with a reception on March 22. April will feature two Signature Events: the Cradle of Aviation’s portable planetarium will be here April 3 for an amazing look at the universe through digital technology, and Neal Stuart and The Empire State will play hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s on April 15.

Our Budget Vote and Trustee Election will be held on Tuesday, April 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Vote Day activities will include a performance of Sleeping Beauty by Plaza Theatrical, a Donut Decorating program, and much more. It is also Amnesty Day—all overdue fines will be waived!

Please come down to the Library on April 10 to cast your vote.

Q. Where can I find more information about the 2018-19 budget?

A. Complete details will be mailed. They will also be available at the Circulation Desk and on our website, www.cshlibrary.org, after March 1.

Q. Will there be a public meeting about the budget and to meet the candidates for the Board of Trustees?

A. Yes, the Budget Review & Meet the Candidates meeting will be on Monday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Q. Where do I vote?

A. You vote in the library on Tuesday, April 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Q. Who is eligible to vote?

A. All residents of the CSH School District who are registered to vote in the school district’s annual budget vote are eligible to vote in the CSH Library election. Call Election Clerk, Susan Tyska, at (631) 692-6820, x501 for details.

Q. I will be away on April 10. Can I get an absentee ballot?

A. Yes, if you are unable to vote in person, you may apply for an absentee ballot. Applications will be available at the Circulation Desk and on our website after March 1.

Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library card is ongoing for all programs. Children should be the appropriate age for each program. Caregivers are required to remain in the library during all children’s programs.
