Why do pets and people love P.L.A.Y.? We’re a lot like so many pet owners: we love our little pug, Momo, so we wanted to find the perfect pet bed for her. But we weren’t satisfied with what we found. The low-priced beds didn’t match our home deccor and fell apart easily. And the better-looking beds were way overpriced and lacked many features that we were looking for.

So we started from scratch — and developed a whole new way of looking at things in the process.We knew that we had to provide pet owners with a comfortable, durable, environmentally-friendly product. But we wanted to add something entirely different. Namely, STYLE.

P.L.A.Y. works with artists in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York to create designs exclusively for our pet beds. These unique designs let your customers know that they are onto something special, not mass-produced designs easily found in the market. Our designs compliment your living space and is finally something you actually want in the living room.It’s a whole new approach to pet beds. One that your customers are going to love.

OUR STORY

We care about the environment because it is important. Many of your customers want to do their part to help the planet and our products help you meet their needs.

At P.L.A.Y., we use PlanetFill®, a soft polyfiber made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles in all our beds and plush toys. We save 108 plastic bottles from going into the landfill in every P.L.A.Y. XL Lounge Bed. We consider PlanetFill® an evolution from traditional memory foam filler as PlanetFill® is eco-friendly, 100% machine washable and dryable, and does not contain formaldehyde which is a chemical commonly found in most memory foam.

When it comes to saving the environment, we don’t stop at what goes into our beds. P.L.A.Y. is proud to be a Green America® certified member and we use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper for our packaging. We minimize materials used in packaging but in places where they are needed, we make sure they come from sustainable sources.

ARTIST COLLECTIONSince P.L.A.Y. was founded in 2010, we’ve partnered with various local artists such as Dave Collins, Alicia Pompei, J. Nichole Smith, etc. in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles. Together, they bring with them cool West Coast flair and urban New York chic that have successfully made our beds into one-of-a-kind artistic pieces that are exclusive to P.L.A.Y. All our designers share a common love for animals and flair for the whimsical… a successfully blend of these two have enabled us to come up with cutting-edge designer dog beds that are visually impactful and modern, without sacrificing practicality and durability.
