Although the paper is in another language you can always use google's free tool, translate, to read any piece of information in english The information that you read might not be the whole story that why it is wise to read international news. One of the reasons that I enjoy reading Spanish news is that it has a different spin than the regular news I watch. Narcotics for instance is a big issue and normally I learn about problems in state’s like Arizona or New Mexico. However, when I want to know how the Spanish newspapers are delivering the news I turn to them. Because I travel quite a bit south in areas like Mexico, Columbia, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia news is important. Deciding on a destination is easy right? This year I decided to go on a trip with my friends who are traveling for spring break/ any time they get an excuse to travel down there I've always been an adventurous person, I've traveled to Columbia, Mexico, Peru, and Jamaica but I've kind of been blinded by the fact that it was going to be fun without thinking about the possible dangers. So this year I decided to be cautious and and read up in the local spanish news about conflicts in the area. None of my friends encounted any problems while on spring break but they should have been a little more careful because its good to know where the danger lies to avoid it. Scuba diving and whale watching was fun and they felt protected by local police that patroled the nearby towns. They ventured outside of the beach and took public transportation and taxis too and they told me the people were very friendly. Practicing my spanish is a challenge and thats why I find myself reading the local spanish newspaper because I want to become fluent so I read from here spanish newspaper. My friends speak a little bit of spanish and when we get together we try to practice it with our own copies of the paper. Some of the stories I get from the newspaper are missed in English, not sure why, but take for instance art gallery. Are gallery openings in my neighborhood are not covered well at all, not that the art itself is latino but it made me wonder if it was just uninteresting to readers why my local paper kept skipping this kind of journalism in the paper. Apart from that I always end up wondering what other areas of the paper that I read normally are being excluded. I tell you it has opened up my horizons about other things as well like music, I normally just listen to top 40 or electric but I discovered Spanish rock and groups like Mana, Juanes, or Camilla. I’m sure you’ve heard Shakira and Pitbull but listening to them in another language is a bit refreshing. Well after writing this article I feel like it’s time for a vacation to the warm south borders.

always use google's free tool, translate, to read any piece of information in english

The information that you read might not be the whole story that why it is wise to read

international news. One of the reasons that I enjoy reading Spanish news is that it has a

different spin than the regular news I watch. Narcotics for instance is a big issue and

normally I learn about problems in state’s like Arizona or New Mexico. However, when I want

to know how the Spanish newspapers are delivering the news I turn to them. Because I travel

quite a bit south in areas like Mexico, Columbia, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia news is important.

Deciding on a destination is easy right? This year I decided to go on a trip with my friends

who are traveling for spring break/ any time they get an excuse to travel down there I've

always been an adventurous person, I've traveled to Columbia, Mexico, Peru, and Jamaica

but I've kind of been blinded by the fact that it was going to be fun without thinking about the

possible dangers. So this year I decided to be cautious and and read up in the local spanish

news about conflicts in the area.

None of my friends encounted any problems while on spring break but they should have

been a little more careful because its good to know where the danger lies to avoid it. Scuba

diving and whale watching was fun and they felt protected by local police that patroled the

too and they told me the people were very friendly.

Practicing my spanish is a challenge and thats why I find myself reading the local spanish

newspaper because I want to become fluent so I read from here spanish newspaper. My

friends speak a little bit of spanish and when we get together we try to practice it with our

own copies of the paper. Some of the stories I get from the newspaper are missed in English,

not sure why, but take for instance art gallery. Are gallery openings in my neighborhood are

not covered well at all, not that the art itself is latino but it made me wonder if it was just

uninteresting to readers why my local paper kept skipping this kind of journalism in the paper.

Apart from that I always end up wondering what other areas of the paper that I read normally

are being excluded. I tell you it has opened up my horizons about other things as well like

music, I normally just listen to top 40 or electric but I discovered Spanish rock and groups like

Mana, Juanes, or Camilla. I’m sure you’ve heard Shakira and Pitbull but listening to them in

another language is a bit refreshing. Well after writing this article I feel like it’s time for a
