BRIGHTON KOA Calendar of Events 2017
April 28 to April 30 – CARE TO KAMP WEEKEND
We were so amazed at the generosity of our campers in the 2016 season that we’ve decided to
contribute even more for 2017 by adding an additional Care Camps weekend just for the Brighton
KOA location. Come camping with us on opening weekend where you pay for Friday night and get
Saturday night for a minimum donation of $10 to care camps – Must have a valid Value Kard to
qualify for the discount. Not only will you enjoy the excitement of our first weekend of the season,
with all it has to offer - games, wagon rides, movie night, ice cream social, and a morning craft of
potting your own flowers to take home and celebrate the Spring season, BUT it’s also the GRAND
OPENING OF FRYDAY – Sabrina’s Chip wagon – come try the delicious fares and offer
congratulations to our newest Entrepreneur. Our Collect-A-Ducky contest also begins this
weekend – see website for full details as they are a little different this year. Leave your Rig
starts this weekend as well. Camp two consecutive weekends in a row and leave your rig
parked on site and plugged in for $20 per week.
May 5 to 7 – EASTER WEEKEND
Easter is such a treasured holiday for me, so we decided to theme this weekend after Easter so that
we can enjoy all the fun… again. Come enjoy colouring eggs in the morning for our craft time. And
an Easter themed weekend just wouldn’t be right without a full group Easter egg hunt. We will also
have some fun Easter themed games like an egg and spoon race. We will round out the weekend
with wagon rides, movie night, ice cream social and all the usual fun and games. It may be early in
the camping season but we promise to make it a weekend full of fun for the whole family. This is a
Leave Your Rig weekend.
May 12 to 14 – CARE CAMPS “MOTHERS DAY” BIG WEEKEND
What a great way to celebrate Mom, or as my mother says, Mum, than to save BIG on your
camping and donate to a worthy cause. This is the nationally celebrated Care Camps
weekend that most KOA’s participate in. Come camping with us on Friday night and for a
minimum $10 donation to Care Camps you get Saturday night included. We have a superb
weekend planned for families. We have wagon rides, movie night, craft time (cards for mom of
course), picture find/scavenger hunt games, Ice Cream social as usual. We also have a
special treat planned just for the ladies. All the kids are invited to a cooking class ($5 entry per
child) where they will actually prepare a wonderful meal, including learning how to set the
table, and then host a fabulous meal for mom or grandma (dad’s welcome to the class or if you
are comfortable you can leave your child with us for the class and enjoy some alone time
together). Finish the weekend off with a scrumptious pancake breakfast to be served on
Sunday morning for $5 per person, with proceeds going to Care Camps. We will have the

year).
