Direct Entry Scheme to Poly Program (DPP)

2¼ year Higher Nitec programme at ITE,

including a 10-week DPP preparatory course.

DPP students who attain the required minimum

qualifying Higher Nitec Grade Point Average 2.0

(GPA) scores are guaranteed a place in one of the

Polytechnic diploma courses that are mapped to

their Higher Nitec courses.

The programme is offered across 17 Higher Nitec

courses.

Eligible for DPP?Students must obtain an ELMAB3 (English, Math, Best 3 Subjects) raw

aggregate score of 19 points or less (excluding CCA bonus points) at

Poly Foundation Programme (PFP)

• A foundation year at the polytechnics that:

– Prepares well-performing Sec 4N(A) students

for progression into respective polytechnic

diploma courses

– Serves as an alternative to Secondary 5

• Students must pass all PFP modules in order to

progress to their respective, pre-selected

diploma courses

• The programme is offered across >80% of

diploma courses at the polytechnics

Level in the same year of application

• Obtained ELMAB3 aggregate of 19 points or
