BUSINESS CASE NAME: ZABA ARRIVED WITH THE CAKES (My first business adventure: all steps towards sweet, little patisserie) CASE TOPIC DESCRIPTION: In Zagrebačka banka, business banking represents a very important segment in conducting

business with small enterprises. Zagrebačka banka is continuously working on the

development of products and services which can be useful for small entrepreneurs in a

development cycle of an entrepreneur and at the same time as a support in everyday business.

Following trends and your needs as our future clients, we gave you a case study in which we

would like to see your view on founding a small business in Croatia. As the topic of the case

study, we set a detailed analysis and elaboration of starting a business venture which implies

establishing a business object and starting a business.

Specifically, the assignment is a Project of opening a patisserie (making confectionery and

services). Our wish is to understand the processes and experience throughout which the

beginner entrepreneur goes through in order to realize a business idea.

In the process of choosing the type of a business subject, the contestants need to present

the path of a beginner entrepreneur which he or she needs to pass from establishing to

starting the business. What is the first step? Which institutions need to be visited and in

which order?

Creative solutions are also desirable e.g.: How can the bank help entrepreneurs in

collecting paperwork before arriving in the bank to open a business account?

According to the previous choice of the business subject, it is necessary to:

elaborate starting confectionary business (making confectionery and services)

business and marketing plan

include business bank resources in the financial source
