PARTNERSHIPSThe Bridge Preservation Partnerships are
regional forums of bridge professionals—
from state agencies, contractors, suppliers,
consultants, academia, plus local and federal
government agencies—all working together
to take advantage of the synergy to be gained
from sharing information and identifying
common issues for further investigation.
The Partnerships—Midwest, Northeast,
Southeast, and Western—each share
and publicize information describing
improvements in research, materials, design,
specifications, construction and inspection
for preservation, and promote the benefits of
bridge preservation through education and
outreach.

shopping, dining, and entertainment.

FAMILY and GUEST ACTIVITIESOrlando is world renowned for its
attractions for visitors with varying interests
from far and wide. The conference will not
be arranging a specific program of activities
for non-attendees. However, the conference
organizers will work with the Renaissance
hotel staff and other local resources to provide
information on a variety of local attractions.
Note: the conference will provide two options
for non-attendees to attend the Monday and
Wednesday evening receptions or to enjoy the
receptions as well as breakfast on Wednesday
and Thursday mornings.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONSThe portion of the conference program from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm on Monday, April 9 and from
1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 10 to noon on Thursday, April 12, will be devoted to technical
presentations by bridge preservation experts from DOTS, academia, and industry.
More than 60 presentations will be given on topics related to preservation of decks,
superstructures, substructures, and joints as well as performance measures, asset
management, and research. The program is organized into three concurrent tracks.
Mixed in with the technical tracks will be some workshops and panel sessions on topics of
current interest to the bridge preservation community.
DEMONSTRATION PROJECTSLive demonstrations will be held on Tuesday, April 10, from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm outside in 2
hotel parking lots.
More than 30 industry partners will demonstrate products, practices, and systems
showcasing the details of these integral elements of our constantly expanding bridge
preservation process.
This will be a unique opportunity to see firsthand the outside demonstrations showing new,
innovative, and proven applications.
To allow you to see as many of the demonstrations as possible, they will be running
concurrently and presented several times by each demonstrator.
On the following page is a site layout for the outside demonstrations. Industry locations will
be noted in your registration program.
