Student Learning

Page 10: BRIAN PICCOLO MS53Q 2009 INQUIRY TEAM

We are using an action research approach to

improve ELA instruction and student performance for our

target population.

Page 11: BRIAN PICCOLO MS53Q 2009 INQUIRY TEAM

On October 10, 2008, we began meeting once a week on Friday’s from 3pm – 5pm (2 hours)

Our meetings are focused on how we can improve instruction for students in our target population using data analysis

Each member is responsible for becoming experts on a smaller group of students (5-6 each)

We discuss instructional implications based on our data review and develop targeted plans for the improvement of each student

Data collection tools are created and discussed
