Total cost of work: £0 Description of work: As a local charity we approached Brian McGown for a quote to paint our premises during lockdown to freshen up. Brian was very kind and offered to do the work free of charge due to us being a charity. He even arranged for the paint to be donated by a local company. Communication is good at all times, punctual, hard working and very tidy. Comments: Highly recommend Brian and Leigh for all painting work – inside and out. They are about to complete an outdoor project for us.

Total cost of work: £795 Description of work: Paint all windows in house externally and internally, 2 coats. Paint all woodwork in upstairs hall – 4 door surrounds, skirtings etc. Top hall, stairwell and bottom hall emulsioned – 2 coats. Comments: Brian and his son were very professional. They helped me to remove the blinds on the windows and replaced the bigger ones once they finished. I’m really happy with result and cannot thank them enough. Very satisfied!!

Comments: Very professional, friendly, tidy and hard working! Very pleased with the work that was done. I felt Brian was extremely helpful with all my questions got back to me quickly and was very knowledgeable he was honest and saved me money on jobs that did not really need done and helped with a cheaper and just as effective outcome.

Comments: Brian discovered a problem with artex on the ceiling and has organised a plasterer to come and rectify this. Once this work is completed Brian will return to paint the replastered ceiling.

Total cost of work: £895 Description of work: Whole of living room/dining room painted (ceiling, doors, walls skirts, cills etc). All of stairs, landing and hallway painted including staircase, all cracks filled in. Comments: Very reliable, friendly and efficient team. Completed an excellent job, at a high standard and at a very reasonable cost. This is the second time I’ve worked with Brian and will likely use again and recommend.

Paper walls in conservatory and kitchen and all doors and skirtings. Comments: I am extremely pleased with the finish on the walls and doors, the work was carried out to a very good standard. Brian was extremely courteous and I will be using him in future, I highly recommend him.

Total cost of work: £725 Description of work: Paint all external window frames and sills after scraping and sanding and filling where required. Scraped, sanded, filled and painted 2 standard doors and patio doors. Garage doors painted in matching paint. Gutters cleaned, loose/flaking paint removed from fascias and painted. Comments: Brian and son did an excellent job for us. They started on time, worked quickly to avoid the rain, were extremely tidy and left no mess. Additionally Brian managed to get a match on paint colour between the woodwork paint and a specific plastic paint for garage doors which gave an overall uniform finish to all surfaces. He is very professional and we would certainly use him again and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a painter/decorator.

Total cost of work: £1275 Description of work: Plasterwork and walls painted in hallway, kitchen, dining room, 2 sun rooms, laundry and stairway. Comments: Brian was amazing, transformed my dreary creamy, dirty looking magnolia mess into a beautiful light, bright clean and fresh home. Workmanship was excellent, great advice on products to use and end result was very impressive! I would and have already recommended Brian to family and friends, look forward to seeing him back to gloss soon.

Cost was for all work and materials – excluding paper which we bought. Comments: Delighted with the quality and speed of work. Rooms left tidy after each days work. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Total cost of work: £270 Description of work: Brian painted the eaves of my house with 2 coats of paint. He also advised me to have the corners of the eaves looked at in 2 years time. He also painted the eave on my garage at no extra cost. A very nice job. Comments: Very pleasant man.
