AMICAS is a tier one Radiology/Cardiology PACS product that integrates directly with McKesson, Siemens, GE and others. As a Senior Implementation PM, I managed many large scale complex projects and Jr Project Managers in a matrix/multi-team oriented environment as soon as the sale is made to completion of the Implementation/upgrade to go-live. I also managed risk, scope and large budgets (finance/resources) with these projects.

completed. I have received many similar results since. Recognized AS A Senior Mentor/leader in providing leadership/training to Junior Project Managers completing

Director of Information Systems- Pioneer Valley Hospital July 2002 – December 2003

Pioneer Valley Hospital maintains one of the busiest Emergency Rooms in the State of Utah. Reported directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the hospital and my responsibilities included the management of a one Million dollar budget, in addition to the full time management of many staff members in the IS Department and overseeing all computer systems within the hospital.

Select Information Systems Director achievements include:

As Director of IS, I was able to reduce operating expenses by several thousands of dollars through re-negotiation of maintenance contracts, as well as careful analysis of all expenses that flow through the IS department.

Designed and oversaw the implementation of the PACS Radiology system utilized by all clinical departments at the hospital.

Implemented a new computer application in the ER that increased patient turnaround time and patient satisfaction scores.

Developed a Return on Investment for the deployment of a new NEC Telephone system, which improved the hospital’s efficiency and customer service.

IT Manager / Project Manager- Cadence Design Systems Inc. 2000 - 2002

Cadence provides proven products and solutions for every aspect of electronic design in Healthcare. Headquartered in San Jose, California, they have over 6,000 employees and have locations worldwide. Responsibilities include gaining proficiency with current IT Project processes, from start to finish. Creation of a Project Management Office (PMO) which would oversee: a-Project Management & Administrative Processes and Procedures b- Standardized Tools and Templates c-Project Oversight and Program Management. Managed Automation Team charged with increasing the efficiency of the Cadence Internal Help Desk through programming scripts and website using Full Life Cycle processes. Select IT Project Management experience is outlined below:

Designed Project Management Office (PMO). Managed a web development tool, designed to increase quality control/quality improvement of all internal IT Projects

using Full Life Cycle processes. Managed a number of Automation projects (using scripts and web design). These projects were small in nature but

large in cost savings for Cadence’s internal IT Help Desk. Each project reduced the number of tickets by 100-300 per month at a cost of $400 per ticket.

Managed deployment of a wireless network for the whole Cadence campus in San Jose, which immediately increased manager efficiency by providing constant access to email and other internal applications.

Enterprise Project Manager- Intermountain Health Care 1995 to 2000

IHC includes 22 hospitals, 150 clinics and Insta-Care centers, and a health plans network. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, they employ over 26,000 people at locations throughout Utah, Southern Idaho and Southern Wyoming. Beginning as a LAN Analyst, my responsibilities progressively increased to the position of Project Manager, which I served in for 5.5 years. These duties include the management of a variety of projects for IHC and acting as a liaison between technical staff and Senior IS Management.

Managed the rollout of a variety of applications in a healthcare organization of 13,000+ workstations, keeping projects under budget and ahead of schedule. Some applications include an enterprise mgt tool, (Intel Landesk Mgt Suite) and an enterprise Anti-Virus mgt tool, (Norton Anti Virus Corporate Edition).

Analyzed business needs on an ongoing basis. Performed analyses (cost/benefit analysis, net present value, return on investment, and other as needed) to qualify decisions regarding IS capital expenditures. Presented recommendations to Senior IS management.

Managed the Windows 95 rollout that included more than 13,000 workstations. Selected to manage the Windows 2000 rollout prior to leaving IHC.

Managed the rollout of Intel Landesk Management Suite 6.0, which enables support personnel to manage all users of workstations without leaving their desks.
