The Waldensian Mill History• Valdesewasfoundedbyagroupof29WaldensiansettlersfromtheCottianAlpsofNorthernItalyin1893.Valdese
becameknownas“NorthCarolina’sFastestGrowingTown”intheearly1950’sduetoitsthrivingtextile,hosieryandfurnitureindustries.
• The Waldensian Mill, a recently revitalized textile mill, in the heart of downtown Valdese has 30,000 square feet of finishedandunfinishedspacethatisdesignedtoaccommodateanyexpandingornewbrewery’sneeds.Apro-spectivebusinesscanleasesomeorallavailablespaceforanextremelycompetitiverate.
• TheWaldensianHosieryMill,establishedin1901,pavedthewayforthegrowthofindustryandValdesebecameoneofthenation’sleadinghosierymanufacturingcenters.
