Linda Krofcheck was named Team Member of the Year for consistently going above and beyond to assist our Residents. Linda, an administrative assistant for Affordable Housing who also serves as the co-chair of Team Council, recently celebrated her 20th work anniversary at Brethren Village. Linda has received many Servant Heart nominations over the years from Residents and Team Members alike for her excellent service and compassion in everything she does. Some of the comments submitted about Linda are:

“Linda volunteered her time to assist cleaning up the flower beds at Village Garden Apartments and Fairview Meadows [on BV’s campus]. Linda also created a scrapbook photo album for Fairview Meadows Residents to commemorate the first few years of the building.”

“In recognition of Linda for her emergency response to a Resident who fell and sustained a serious cut.”

“Linda regularly helps a Resident adjust his cell phone and write his checks. She reads his mail to him and generally makes him feel at ease.”

“Linda puts her whole heart into her job and is a jack of all trades. She sets up heavy tables for our parties, she’s there for those who need help if it’s icy outside or if their walker needs oiling, she carries heavy packages to our apartment… all with a smile. She is a great listener and simply outstanding!”

When presented with the award Linda said, “It is an honor and privilege to be named Team Member of the Year. I appreciate all of the kind words and sentiments from Team Members and Residents. I truly enjoy working with all of my fellow team members and serving our residents and their families. Together, we all make a great team!”

Brethren Village is extremely fortunate to have Team Members like Linda caring for our Residents each day. Linda joins an esteemed group as a Team Member of the Year recipient. On behalf of the entire Brethren Village community, we congratulate you Linda!

Thank you to all who supported this event. When you give to the Good Samaritan Fund, you are supporting BV’s ministry of providing care, housing, and services to Residents who have exhausted their financial resources. Special events such as the banquet and upcoming golf tournament help raise funds for this care. This year’s Presenting Sponsor video spotlighted the story of the late Jacob & Naomi Ruhl who were dedicated to enriching the lives of BV Residents. This special video is available for viewing on our website as well as the feature video, “Share Your Blessings” which tells why our supporters, such as Team Members, are compelled to support BV’s mission. View the videos here: www.bv.org/news/video-gallery

The Development Team is pleased to announce that thanks to our generous donors, the Good Samaritan Banquet raised $60,000!
