Brenden Scott French is an exciting and innovative artist who will present his latest collection of kiln formed glass wall installations that con-tinues his exploration of his place in the worldand in the landscape. In French’s work, the idea of large open space is a distinctly Australianone, of big skies and dramatic landscape. This exhibition will also identify the importance of colour in his work.

A beautiful exhibition and a wonderful opportunity for all to view the new work by this important artist.

When I started developing work for ‘Colour Remains’ I had in mind three intersecting ideas.To explore the conflict inherent in nature, and show that this conflict enables potential.To use the material of glass in a way that best reflects my own character.And to dissect the idea that nature is always only ever like nature so why seek comparisons for it.

The resulting work highlights the complexity and likely folly involved in such aspirations, yet confirms two very real emotions essential to life - love and to experience change.
