Breakfast and bubbly at the historicalWeltmuseum Wien: Vienna hosts its first everRemarkable Venue Awards.

Vienna has been added to the roster of Tiqets’ globetrotting Remarkable Venue Awards in 2019.

Tiqets’ decision to host the awards in Austria’s glamorous capital follows the strong growth the

city has exhibited in the past few years. To kick the morning off, guests were invited to attend a

champagne breakfast at the historical Weltmuseum Wien, Austria’s largest ethnographic

museum and one of this year's winners.

Following the breakfast, Tiqets’ Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Norbert

Racz guided guests into the auditorium where the first presentation of the morning took place.

Jamie Kiyoshi, the CEO and founder of the Italian company, Guideman Group, shed light on the

issues his company has been having with crowd management at the Colosseum, a concern that

many venues are experiencing due to overtourism. Kiyoshi went on to explain how they have

been overcoming this issue with the help of Tiqets.

Tiqets’ head of Venue Product, Patrick Toolan, then shared Tiqets’ achievements in Vienna over

the past year and the company’s plans for its future product vision. To conclude the morning’s

events, Tiqets’ Chief Supply Officer, Maarten Raaijmakers, hosted an in-depth question and

answer session to reinforce Tiqets commitment to Austrian Venues.

“Tiqets loves working together with our partners in Vienna, and we’re excitedto develop tourism in this beautiful city even further. That's why we selectedVienna to be part of the annual awards because we want to help visitorsdiscover the fascinating history and the gorgeous cultural treasures this cityhas to offer. The venues we work with showcase this perfectly and we areproud to be a partner in that effort”.— Maarten Raaijmakers, Tiqets Chief Supply Officer
