The Renegades have been active in the off-season, snaring expert spinner Brad Hogg and precocious batsman Marcus Harris from the Perth Scorchers. They are also searching for a successor to David Saker, who recently departed as head coach to take a position as Australia's full-time bowling coach. The Renegades finished fifth in last season's campaign, missing out on the finals for the fourth time in five seasons.
