Instructor: Presentation Requirements
Lesson Outcome
In this course, you will learn how to use and customize the Keller Williams Realty Real Estate
Search App. You will also learn ten ways to share your app and how to access training and
support.
Timing
This is a one-hour training course. When planning for the timing, allow for 30%-50% of the time
for activities. Activities will help the participants understand the purpose and value of the
training.
Suggested Activities for This Course:

Create an action plan
Before the Training Event Preparation
1. Confirm the training dates, location, and number of participants.
2. Ensure you have the following materials:
a. Instructor Guide
b. PowerPoint Presentation
c. Participant Handouts (one printed copy per participant)
d. Attendance Sign-in Sheets
3. Ensure you have all reference and resource materials:
a. Access to myKW.kw.com
b. Access to the eAgentC Website
4. Read and study the Instructor Guide. If using case studies or scenarios, review ahead of
time and select the most appropriate cases studies or scenario for your audience.
Familiarize yourself with the Participant Handout.
5. Ensure the room is set up properly (i.e., tables and chairs are arranged to maximize
interaction, projectors do not block participants' lines of sight, flip charts are convenient
to you and visible to participants, etc.).
6. Test the equipment.

During the Training Event
1. Arrive early. Give yourself plenty of time to get organized.
2. Circulate the Attendance Sign-in Sheet and be sure all participants sign-in.
3. Start on time and stay on track. Keep exercises within their time limits. End discussions
when they cease to be productive. Lead participants away from digressions and
tangents and back to the lesson.
4. If there are activities in the training, mentor participants during the activities. Walk
among groups in class as they work on their activities, and answer questions and offer
guidance as appropriate. Ensure participants are on track as they work. Give
constructive feedback during the presentations and discussions.
5. Review Questions: Review the content of each lesson throughout the course to
reinforce the learning outcomes for that lesson and to connect to upcoming material.
As a general rule, review or discussion questions should be asked every 6–8 slides.
Avoid YES or NO questions; use open-ended questions to draw participants into the
material. Make sure all questions directly relate to and support the learning outcomes.
6. Cover the ground rules quickly with the class prior to starting the presentation.
a. Participate fully
b. Share responsibility for learning
c. Listen when others talk
d. Respect the opinions and attitudes of others
e. Turn off cell phones
7. Lesson Outcomes: At the beginning of each lesson, review that lesson's outcomes.
Make sure participants are fully aware of the topics to be addressed in the lesson. At
the end of each lesson, review the outcomes once again using review questions or an
activity/exercise to ensure the outcomes were met.
After the Training Event

Research performed by the National Association of REALTORS as well as Google supports the
fact that the use of mobile apps is becoming an increasingly popular way for buyers and sellers
to find their next home. Of those surveyed, 68 percent of home shoppers reported using
mobile apps at some point during their real estate search.
KW has responded to that demand with the release of the Keller Williams Realty Real Estate
Search App. In fact, true to our agent-centric philosophy, we didn’t build just one app—we built
one for every single agent.
The bottom line is that consumers are going to use an app in their search, so make sure they
are using yours and not someone else’s!

making it easy for them to contact you when they need you.

Your Mobile App Settings can be changed by going to myKW.kw.com and clicking the plus
sign next to myMarketing. Then click Manage eAgentC Website.

If you are prompted to select a website, choose the site NOT tied to your KW Commercial or
KW Luxury Homes membership.
Navigate to Section 1.2 “Edit Contact Info” and check that your display name is the way you
want it to appear on your app and contact information as you would like them to appear on
your App. Ensure you’ve entered your preferred email address and mobile phone number for
clients to contact you through the app.
Be sure to save any changes you make.

Service Area can be anything you want - a geographic area, license number or your tagline
Check “Yes” if you want visitorswho find your website on mobiledevice to be taken to your App. or App download page.

Next, go to Section 4.5. Here you’ll find four ways to share your own branded app with your
clients:
● The Mobile URL and the three codes are all automatically created for you by the system
• Mobile URL –This is the URL for your unique, branded mobile app download page. Include this in your email signature, website, or marketing materials.
• Mobile Text Code – Clients text this code to 87778 to download your app.
Include this in your yard signs and riders.
• My Agent Code – Give this code to your clients to enter it via the “My Agent” button in the mobile app to brand the app to you!
• QR Code – for use on printed materials like business cards and property fliers The text code and QR code both point to your Mobile URL.
● The Service Area field will show under your name on the app.
o This field is blank by default. Until you enter your Service Area, your app will
display the city and state of your Market Center under your name.
o You can enter up to 40 characters in the Service Area field. Use it to:
Specific neighborhood/niche area
License number. if required
Your marketing tagline
Next, decide if you want people to visit your website on a mobile device to be pointed to your
personalized KW Mobile App downloader page. Check the “Yes!” box if so.

When your mobile URL is opened on a mobile device, it will look like this (iPad version shown).
Tap the View/Open button at the top to go directly to the default app store for the device in
use.
The button will be labeled either:
• View if the app has not already been installed
• Open if the app has previously been installed.

At your next open your, demonstrate your app with visitors. When you open the app, the open
house will be the first property at the top of the list. This is an easy way to show them other
properties nearby that might better fit their needs.
Then, share the app with them by text or email. A great script to use: “I offer a green business
card – a free app!”

If you have any trouble with functionality, use the “App Help” icon within the app itself. This will
automatically capture information your device and the version of the app that you are using
which is very helpful in troubleshooting. Reporting trouble this way will save you time because it
eliminates the back-and-forth communications between you and KWRI tech support to gather
the information necessary to research your issue.
