The Future of Financial Planning
Branch Programme2013

IFP Branch Meetings – Helping you to thrive in this new regulatory environmentThis year, our profession faces the biggest regulatory change for decades. How we respond now will determine whether or
not we survive or thrive in this new environment. Over–dramatic? I don’t think so. Key to our success will be how we differentiate our Financial Planning service from those of our competitors and there is no better way to do this than through IFP branch meetings. I think that this year’s branch programme is our best ever. It’s packed full of relevant, practical sessions to help you focus your business in the way that will add value for you and your clients both now and in years to come.
IFP branch meetings are different. Our 22 branches are run by members specifically to meet members’ needs at no additional cost. You can attend any meeting you want to, at any branch. Yes, attendance will help you reach the minimum target of 21 hours of structured CPD. However in my view, no matter how experienced or well qualified you are, the most valuable aspect is the sharing of ideas with like-minded people so we can learn from each other’s success stories and mistakes. It’s such a striking feature of the IFP community how willing everyone is to share their ideas. We also form friendships so that when we need to talk something through, there is a strong community there ready and willing to help. If you’ve not discovered this yet, you really are missing out on your biggest catalyst for success.
My thanks go to the all the branch chairs and staff at the IFP for their great work in creating yet another fantastic programme.
Rebecca Taylor FIFP, CFPCM Dunham Financial Services President, IFP
