Maintenance Supervisor – Stockton, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW:This position supervises the maintenance function to ensure prioritized projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring safety in the Maintenance Depart-ment. Responsibilities also include training, supervision and planning of maintenance work for the Stockton location. The maintenance supervisor will strive to assist in ensuring that quality, volume, service, and cost goals are met in the Mainte-nance Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Drive walnut processing maintenance KPI’s and production OEE initiatives· Maintain facility and walnut processing equipment to ensure production efficiency· Performs preventive maintenance to limit unscheduled downtime· Supervises projects to completion ensuring accuracy and timely completion· Generate, assign, and close maintenance team work orders on a weekly basis· CMMS reporting of parts inventory levels and employee metrics· Train, guide and supervise maintenance staff in repair of plant equipment· Assist as needed to maintain parts inventory· Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operat-ing Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistently· Works closely with and communicates regularly with Pro-duction Supervisors, Safety, Maintenance staff and other departments· Communicates regularly with and coordinates work of out-side vendors· Performs other duties as assigned by the department manag-er

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:· Maintenance requirements, resources, and processes

· Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Proce-dures, and Safety Regulations· Basic supervisory practices· Understanding of equipment operation and pneumatics· Basic electrical knowledge· Welding skills· Effective English language literacy; oral and written commu-nication skills· Interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels within the company· Effective math skills· Demonstrated leadership skills· Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills· Facilitation skills for leading meetings and teams· Effective computer skills using MS Office products and re-quired technical software· Working knowledge of maintenance CMMS system· Time management and organizational skills· Work in an environment with very high level safety risks· Listen, understand, and advise staff· Flexible and adaptable to change· Complete multiple projects while working under tight dead-lines· Work overtime as required; including off shift and weekend work· Perform tasks independently and as part of a team to accom-plish company goals· Set and be an example for work safety· Use Company values and commitments in daily work and in interactions with others

California-Australian Almond Industry Exchange Program Job Opportunity:

To work in both the California and Australian Almond industries and have a hands-on learning experience in processing almonds. This opportunity will fast-track your career within the nut industry!

Where:

Central Valley and Sacramento, California USA Northern Region of Victoria, Australia

Time Frame:

California Almond Season-August through November Australian Almond Season- January through July

Requirements:

College Degree o Preferably Ag Business, Ag Production, Ag Science, Food Sciences and

Technologies or Engineering but all degrees are taken into consideration Ability to travel overseas to Australia Strong Work Ethic Willing to learn new applications and processes Able and willing to work in dirty and hot conditions at times

Hiring Process:

Recent graduates will be hired for the California Almond season and will work at a facility in the Sacramento Area

At the end of the California season the recent graduates will be evaluated on their overall performance throughout the season.

Based on their performance they will be offered a position at an Australian Almond Processing facility

Once the Australian season is completed, recent graduate will be released from the exchange program
