INTRODUCTION
Incorporated in 1970 and established at Naini, the Trans Yamuna area of Allahabad.
Caters to the need of core sector of the economy such as oil exploration, refineries, chemical and fertilizers, etc.
In a very short span, the company absorbed the technology and established itself as the world renowned manufacturer of a wide range of hi- tech products.

The headquarters of the company is in Naini, Allahabad. The company has its regional branch offices in six major cities across India:

HISTORY Bharat Pumps and Compressors Ltd.(BPCL) is a Public
Sector Undertaking which is under the control of Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Govt. of India.
Established in 1970 at Naini, Allahabad for the manufacture of Pumps and Compressors to serve the core sector industries which were previously imported
by these companies.
Unfortunately, the company suffered losses and was on the verge of being closed down after 35 years of
operations. 5

Pumps are suitable for handling fluids such as hydrocarbon, Naphtha, LPG, Carbonate solution, boiler feed water, Benfield solution, alkaline and acidic solution, ammonia liquor, petrochemicals etc.
Reciprocating Pumps
Pumps are suitable for handling drilling mud, Cementing slurry, crude oil, steam condensate, heavy water, fatty acids, ammonia carbonate, liquid ammonia and liquid wax effluent water etc

the financial year 2005-06 and has increased thereafter.

Awards and Achievements• BPCL received scope excellence award-2010 from the hon'ble Prime
Minister , Dr. Manmohan Singh.
• Prestigious Miniratna status has been awarded to Bharat Pumps & Compressors Limited by the hon'ble Minister Sri Vilasrao Deshmukh on 21st sept. 2010.

• After MINIRATNA it is now TURNAROUND CPSE AWARD 2010. It is for those company’s which have earned profit and positive Net Worth for last three years.
• BPCL has been granted first time EXPORT HOUSE STATUS by Govt. of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Office of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Kanpur The above Export House Status has been granted against export of Pumps & Compressors worth 77,98,29,881.78 during Financial year 2010-2011.
