Two arrested for money launderingFLATONIA: Luis Carlos Trevino-Clemente, 63, of

Humble, the driver of a 2010 Dodge pickup, and his pas-senger, Gabriel De Real Rodriguez, 34, of Mexico were charged with money laundering after a routine traffic stop as they were traveling westbound on Interstate 10 near Fla-tonia. After contact with the two men, Investigator David Smith observed many criminal indicators, including their travel itinerary. Smith was given consent to search the ve-hicle where he discovered a hidden trap compartment in the center console with wrapped bundles of U.S. curren-cy inside. Both men denied the money belonged to them. Smith reportedly removed 26 bundles of currency, totaling $279,750, from the hidden compartment. The two were ar-rested and transported to the Dan R.
