Introducing our new physiotherapist Philip Walker

Philip will be working with us at Box Hill North

Physiotherapy from February, and will be

available on Tuesdays and Thursdays

afternoons.

Philip has been in the workforce for almost 30

years, and over time has grown a passion for

empowering people to manage and

overcome pain, recover physical function

and improve quality of life.

When it comes to understanding issues with movement, Philip is

definitely in the know. He has professionally instructed Wing

Chun (a chinese martial art) at a Sifu (Master) level, in which he

spends time also helping his students with manual therapy.

Philip spent most of his working life in the police force and in 2005

made a leap of faith to finish up his work with the police to go

back to full time study. He completed his physiotherapy degree,

and after gaining more experience working as a physiotherapist,

he is returning to the university again this year to undertake a

Masters by research.

Whether you have a chronic pain, an acute injury, or need

rehabilitation Philip is able to work through the issue at hand, but

also steer you towards reaching long term goals.

We are most glad to welcome Philip into our team, where he will

continue to provide the excellent service you have come to

expect from Box Hill North Physiotherapy. We are also lucky to

have his expertise co-ordinating our Falls and Balance Program

in 2014.

In our next edition we will be interviewing Philip and asking him

more about his proposed research and its implications in

physiotherapy practice.
