PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION______________________________

As an educator, my educational values are comprised of many areas of focus including provision of a responsive learning environment in which students can be motivated to realize their potential, while being exposed to various styles of educational strategies. I am committed to the clear and present importance of technological literacy and growth that is demanded in the classroom today. A successful 21st century learner will vary greatly from the students of the past. I staunchly believe in the vital existence of a strong reading, writing, speaking and listening based English Language Arts program. I also solidly support the importance of the arts in education and the impact that the arts hold in the development of an individual. While recognizing these values, I also strive to integrate these philosophies into my teaching and co-curricular involvement.
