The key to our success is a complete holistic approach to soil fertility and plant vitalityusing Compost Tea and additives.

To make Compost Tea we have two easy-to-use brew kits in a 5 gallon and a 55gallon size. Pages 16 & 18

The heart of the system is Bountea Compost Tea — an exceptionally rich solution ofmicrobial life and minerals. This is made by aerating Alaska Humisoil and BounteaBioactivator in water for 24 hours. Page 15

Assembly

Bountea Garden Tea can be brewed in anyaerated compost tea brewer.

Brewer Assembly

Attach air supply lines to the pump.Plug the pump into an electrical outlet

For easier cleanup, stretch thestrainer bag over the brewer rim.The use of the strainer bag isoptional. Clip the diffuser unit overthe rim of the container.

Brew Kit Clean Up

• Disconnect the pump before removing the diffuser unit from the container.

• Rinse residue from container, diffuser unit and strainer.

• Unscrew the bubbler and clean with hot soapy water.

• If needed, disinfect with hydrogen peroxide solution, not bleach.

• Store brewer and all ingredients in a cool, dry place out of sunlight and away fromanimals.

Remove all contents from the brewer.

Brewing TipsBasic Brewing

• Use pure water for brewing: chlorine andchloramine can negatively affectmicrobes. Aerate water for 1 hour beforebrewing or use Bountea Hydrate. SeeBountea Hydrate page 12 for ways topurify water.

• Humisoil and Bioactivator (or FungalActivator) are added to every brew tomake Bountea.

• Aerate the Bountea for 24 hours attemperatures between 60ºF and 85ºF. Anoptimum temperature is 75ºF or 24ºC.

• Bountea often foams during brewing. Add1 tablespoon of cooking oil to reducefoam if needed.

More Tips

• Use Humisoil, Bioactivator with M3 forveg and Humisoil, Fungal Activator andB3 for blooms.

• Use Bountea Hydrate water purificationand water enhancement system foroptimal brewing conditions. See page 12.

• Add M3 or B3 to Bountea during the lasthour of brewing. Do not add M3 at thebeginning; it may cause an anaerobicreaction.

• Add Root Web immediately beforediluting Bountea. Stir well.

• If you brew for more than 24 hours andup to 72 hours, add an extra ! cup ofBioactivator per 4 gallons of Bountea.

Use Fungal Activator instead of Bountea Bioactivator when brewing Bountea for shrubs, trees,perennial plants and crops such as tomatoes, peppers and beans. Apply during the bloom/fruitphase of all plants. Pretreat Humisoil with Fungal Activator for best results (see box instructions).

For depleted soils and ground that has been over-treated with chemicals, apply Bounteaintensively. The microbes in Bountea “clean up” problematic soils.

Garden Applications

For outdoor gardens:Apply 1 gallon of Bountea to 250–500 square feet of garden, regardless of dilution.

Application

• Allow Bountea to settle for 15 minutesbefore decanting.

• If used, remove strainer with residue fromthe bucket.

• Add Bountea residue to your compost orspread on your soil.

• Apply Bountea using a watering can orhose-end sprayer.

• Bountea = Humisoil + Bioactivator orFungal Activator.

Feeding Schedule for Growers

• Bountea can be applied 1 or 2 times per week. Bountea cannot be over-applied and willnot burn or harm your plants.

• To increase fungal activity in Bountea, use Fungal Activator in place of Bioactivatorduring weeks 5, 6 and 7 — see table below.

• Indoor growing: dilute 1 part Bountea with 5 parts pure water (1:5).• Outdoor growing: dilute 1 part Bountea with 8 parts pure water (1:8).• 4 gallons of Bountea will treat approx 50 five-gallon containers.• Bountea is very efficient — other fertilizers or nutrients may be reduced by 50%.• During finish and/or flush stage, use twice as much Bountea Bioactivator to increase

sugar production.
