SPITHOPE

NT 768 057 A very compact single storey bothy, with a single room. This room contains bunk beds, some furniture, storage space and a wood burning stove, the sleeping capacity is limited to 4 people. There is a small shed outside used for cutting and storing firewood.

This bothy is approachable on foot from the A68 near Byrness via the forest roads or a bridleway.

WAINHOPE

NY 671 924 Alarge bothy with a wood / material store on the right of the building. On the ground floor there is a small porch, a kitchen with a wood burner and a bedroom with three beds and an open fire. The attic has been converted into two separate bedrooms with total sleeping capacity for 10 people.

This bothy is only accessible by walking along the forest roads from the North Haul forest road. NB This bothy may be closed for conservation reasons between 1st April and mid September 2013
