BOTANICAL ART - PAINTING IN WATERCOLOR Instructor: Derek Norman !Materials/Art Supplies 1. A pad of tracing paper 9” x 12” 2. Graphite pencils 2H & HB Faber Castell (2 of each). 3. Kneaded Eraser 4. A color mixing palette of your choice. (Plastic or ceramic is fine). 5. 4-5 paint brushes. Dick Blick Sable Detail Round #1, #2 & #4, & Dick Blick
Studio Sable Round #4 &/or #6. 6. 1 old bush (or two) for mixing your paint. 7. 1 Lifting Brush: suggest Princeton Art & Brush Co. 6300B size 2. Bright. 8. Watercolor Paints (A selection based on the Six Color Palette). They are all
Winsor & Newton (Artists’ Quality - 0.17 US fl.oz. 5ml tubes - Series 3AA.Other brands can be used but recommend they be “artist quality”). The W &N colors are:- Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Lemon, Cobolt Blue, French Ultramarine, Cerulean Blue, Permanent Rose, Burnt Sienna, Scarlett Lake.
