East India Company

1. The law allowed the East India Company to lower the tax on tea.

2. The colonists were still mad because they wanted to pay no tax.

3. Colonists boycotted their tea.

Boston Tea Party

1. 3 ships full of tea docked in Boston.

2. 340 chests of tea weighing 92 thousand pounds (almost 46 tons) were thrown overboard.

3. In today’s money, that would equal 1.7 million dollars

Punishment

1. King George was losing control.

2. He decided to punish Massachusetts.

3. The Intolerable Acts were passed.
