Mentoring gaps•Most common - identified by 52% of respondents-Developing and achieving career goals -Negotiation skills•Assistant Professors – writing and publishing articles•Associate Professors – program development/strategic planningOther Findings- Lower ranks – desire for mentorship for advancement (research and lecturing skills, getting national recognition)- Instructors >15 years – were less likely to have mentors- Part-time faculty – older children, less mentorship, in rank longer
