JOSE SIBAJA, trumpet A native of Costa Rica, Jose studied at the New World School of the Arts and at the University of Miami in Gilbert Johnson's studio. Jose is active in South Florida's Latin music scene and toured the world extensively in Ricky Martin's band for eight years. Jose has a vast recording career that can be heard on more than 300 professional recordings. His versatility in all styles of music is his signature trademark. Jose is Associate Professor of Trumpet at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. DOMINGO PAGLIUCA, trombone A native of Venezuela, Domingo Pagliuca holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Florida. He was Principal trombone of the Miami Symphony, and is currently Principal trombone of the Florida Grand Opera Orchestra and Palm Beach Symphony. Pagliuca has been on faculty with EL SISTEMA (Venezuela), Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Florida Int’l University. He has received four Latin Grammys as a musician on the winning albums, performed with Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, and Quincy Jones, and heard on more than 100 albums. CHRIS CASTELLANOS, horn A lifelong resident of Las Vegas, Chris received his formal education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Chris is a former member and soloist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and served as a hornist for the Nevada Chamber Orchestra, Las Vegas Jazz Connection, and the TAD Wind Symphony of Japan. Chris has backed countless headliners including Frank Sinatra Jr., Tony Bennett, Luciano Pavarotti, Yes, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Johnny Mathis, Andrea Bocelli, and more. JEFF CONNER, trumpet Jeff Conner is an original member of Boston Brass. He founded the group with fellow Boston musicians while a student at Boston University and has engineered the meteoric rise of this ensemble's fame in the world of popular chamber music. Jeff received his Master's degree in Music from Boston University and his Bachelor's degree in music from Boston Conservatory. He is an Entrepreneurial Advisor for New England Conservatory’s Entrepreneurial Musicianship program. Boston Brass Summer Intensive June 18-24, 2017 Set in the high plains of Laramie, Wyoming on the campus of the University of Wyoming, the Boston Brass Summer Intensive is a weeklong session featuring the world-renowned Boston Brass. It is designed around performance and career development for brass players seeking advanced instruction in chamber music, audition preparation and guidance for those aspiring to a career in music performance.
