Every struggle in your life has shaped you into the person you are today, Boss Major is the perfect example of turning crumbs into a loaf of bread.

Born and raised in the dangerous rodent-infested projects of Chicago, hustling became a way of life for this upcoming rapper. Not easily influenced by the nice cars and women of “The Street Life”, but motivated by his father’s daily street activities. Boss was determined to be his own man and not a shadow of his father. Most importantly, he had to focus on feeding his younger siblings when it deemed necessary. Candidly stated, "I got it how I lived and nothing more!” He felt there were no other options.

At the age of 13, Boss began writing his first untitled song to be recorded. Growing up listening to legends like Eazy E and Too Short, the passion of music was born. A childhood friend, Vizion, introduced him to the music industry and encouraged him to record it. With visions of “making it, they recorded their first song on a previously used cassette tape, tape recorder and a pair of headphones. Although the hardships and woes of life continued, Boss kept his head held high. He had to make a change, set rules for the family and continue to be a role model. This was a hard job considering he was still a kid forced into a grown up world.Still determined to make it in the industry, Boss and his friends formed the “Arkitek Music Group” in the year of 2005. They wrote music, performed in various Chicago club venues and took their act on the road. The alliance disbanded later on that year, but Boss was determined to press on.

In 2008, he created his own record label, Mafia Muzik Group. “The word Mafia represents family, structure and loyalty” states Boss Major. Possessing the aggressiveness, street knowledge and a wall street frame of mind, Boss Major and Mafia Muzik Group shall be unstoppable.

Boss Major’s music talks of passion, fun times, bad times, family, and everyday life of the streets. Under the direction of a Major DJ Coalition, The Core DJs, his current single, “Whippin” is taking the social media world by storm. This single is available on Itunes and Google Play.
